The Regional Program on Development and Environment Research (PRISMA) is an organization specialized in generating scientific information to strengthen the participation of local and territorial stakeholders. Its work extends throughout Central America, Mexico, and Colombia. Particularly, PRISMA is recognized for its research on the vital contribution of communities and their political ecosystems in the management of community forests.
The Colmena Lab team developed a communication and advocacy campaign through digital media focused on Mesoamerican and Colombian audiences that positioned the successful community forestry model in Mesoamerica as an effective alternative for conserving the forests and building livelihoods that sustain the communities in Colombia. This was achieved thanks to the strategic dissemination of scientific studies from the PRISMA Foundation’s Forest Program on digital media.
The following products were developed:
Communication and advocacy strategy
Creation of digital communities
Digital stakeholder mapping
Digital campaign
This campaign was carried out in collaboration with the PRISMA Foundation.
