The FSC Indigenous Foundation (FSC-IF) is the global mechanism through which the Forest Stewardship Council, the world’s largest certifier of sustainable forests, links its work with Indigenous Peoples. The Foundation was established in 2020, and one of its biggest challenges was to engage stakeholders from various sectors around the world and position itself in local, national, regional, and global advocacy spaces.
We planned and implemented a communication strategy focused on engaging stakeholders at the global level, combining strategic communication actions to guide the foundation’s international relations. This strategy included audience characterization, key messages, and strategic actions by audience.
Additionally, we developed the branding for the IPARD program through a collective creation process with indigenous leaders from around the world (60 indigenous representatives from Asia, America, Europe, and Africa).
We also created a digital strategy that included:
Development of the Foundation’s website
Creation and development of its social media communities
Design and implementation of a digital content strategy
Implementation of stakeholder engagement actions through digital media
Development of digital and print materials in four languages
Multimedia production
Creation of 8 podcasts in four languages
One-year mentoring and advisory support for their communications officer
