The Indigenous Peoples in Isolation and Initial Contact (PIACI) living in the Amazon Basin, the Brazilian Cerrado, and the Gran Chaco are at risk. Their way of life and ancestral knowledge are under threat due to pressures on their territories. Their right to exist and remain without contact, as the highest expression of their self-determination, is fundamental to preserving their lives and territories, which host some of the planet's most biodiverse places.
We collaborate with the International Working Group for the Protection of Indigenous Peoples in Voluntary Isolation and Initial Contact (GTI-PIACI) and its 21 member organizations in their mission to defend these peoples. Through a digital communication and advocacy strategy, we work to:
Amplify their voices, raising visibility about their situation and needs.
Raise awareness, sensitizing society about the importance of protecting their rights and territories, including their right to remain in isolation.
Mobilize support, driving action in defense of Indigenous Peoples in Isolation and Initial Contact.
Our Impact
We designed and implemented a three-year communication and advocacy strategy with a participatory approach, actively involving the member organizations of the GTI-PIACI.
Exploring new graphic proposals to strengthen the identity of GTI-PIACI and creating a dynamic, powerful, and consistent brand.
Creating relevant content and sharing it on strategic platforms.
Documenting significant events for the region and the world, and producing high-impact audiovisual materials.
Reporting on the latest updates and actions of the GTI-PIACI.
Through this collaboration, we contribute to strengthening the work of GTI-PIACI and creating a positive impact on the lives of Indigenous Peoples in Isolation and Initial Contact.
