In the midst of an unprecedented environmental crisis, with the Amazon, the Gran Chaco, and the Brazilian Cerrado devastated by fires and droughts, Colmena Lab joined a coalition of Indigenous and environmental organizations to amplify an urgent call for global action.
During New York Climate Week, we facilitated a high-impact press conference that brought together Indigenous leaders from Ecuador, Brazil, and Peru, representing eight South American countries. Their demand: the recognition of Indigenous territorial rights as a crucial climate policy to halt environmental devastation.
