Sotz’il is an indigenous organization rooted in the Maya cosmovision that seeks to build comprehensive development alternatives for Indigenous Peoples based on their vision, principles, values, culture, identity, and cosmogonic thought. Sotz’il aims to promote the development of indigenous communities through the creation of mechanisms for the use, management, and conservation of natural resources, based on the respect and recognition of collective rights.

Colmena Lab provided specialized strategic communication services through which the following products were developed:

• A digital strategy that included the redesign and creation of the website considering new technologies and available platforms, but also and primordially the needs of the Sotz’il organization

• A graphic line for the website which incorporated elements of the Maya culture such as iconography, color palette, symbols, and glyphs

• Specialized copywriting in English, Spanish, and Maya
